November the 14th 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Carl Michael Ziehrer. Ziehrer was one of Austria’s most popular and prolific composers of the 19th and early 20th century and was the conductor of the Deutschmeisterkapelle from 1885-1893.

To mark this anniversary the Deutschmeister want to celebrate the work of this great Viennese master appropriately and in a suitable atmosphere - i.e. Ziehrer concerts in front of Schloss Schönbrunn!

At 11:00 am the Original Hoch und Deutschmeister Kapelle will march from the Wagenburg,( Coach museum ), through the Hietzinger Tor and into the courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace. In the full splendour of their historic uniforms the Band will form, in traditional style, a circle around the conductor and play a concert to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ziehrer‘s death.
