Updated information on re-opening
The Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs – as owner representative of the Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges.m.b.H (SKB) – based on the Federal Government decree is re-opening for visitors all locations of the SKB starting on 15 May 2020 (Schönbrunn Palace, Sisi Museum/Imperial Apartments/Imperial Silver Collection (Hofburg Vienna), the Imperial Furniture Collection/Hofmobiliendepot . Möbelmuseum Wien, also the Schloss Hof Estate and Schloss Niederweiden.

In Schönbrunn Palace starting on 15 May 2020 visitors can individually view the Imperial Apartments and State Rooms daily from 10am to 5pm.
The Palace Park has been open to the public again since 14 April; also re-opening their doors here as of 15 May are the Privy Prince, the Orangery Gardens as well as the Maze. The Panorama Terrace on the Gloriette has been re-opened to the public. Please observe the obligation to use a face-mask or other mouth and nose covering whilst climbing and descending the stairs.
As of 15 May 2020, the Cafés and Restaurants in Schönbrunn will be welcoming their guests back for the enjoyment of Imperial gastronomic pleasures.
Schönbrunn Palace Children’s Museum
The Children's Museum will be open daily from 29 May 2020 onwards, from 10am to 5pm.
The Sisi Museum, the Imperial Apartments and the Imperial Silver Collection in the Hofburg in Vienna are also open daily from 10am to 5pm.
Imperial Furniture Collection
The Imperial Furniture Collection (Hofmobiliendepot . Möbelmuseum Wien) is open for visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
Besides the permanent exhibition, visitors can see the special exhibition “märklinModerne – Architecture in Miniature”. This exhibition has been extended until 23 August 2020.
Schloss Hof Estate & Schloss Niederweiden
The Schloss Hof Estate and Schloss Niederweiden are open daily from 10am to 6pm.
Besides the permanent exhibition in Schloss Hof Estate, as of 15 May 2020 visitors can see the special “Sisi” exhibition entitled “Sisi – Woman and Empress” in Schloss Niederweiden and “Sisi – Son Rudolf” in Schloss Hof Estate.
Besides the palace itself, the Schloss Hof Estate has other features for visitors to explore including the Baroque Garden and the Estate Farm.
Keep your distance
For your own safety and that of others, please keep a distance of at least 1 metre, and preferably 1.5 metres, from staff and visitors. It is most urgent that you take note of the safety instructions of our staff, which are issued for everyone’s safety.
Avoid gathering in groups and, if necessary, wait before entering a particular room or area.
Please note hygiene recommendations
Please keep to the hygiene recommendations. This means washing your hands regularly for a minimum of 20 seconds, and use the hand sanitizer dispensers provided. Make sure you sneeze/cough into disposable tissues, alternatively into your elbow.

We would ask you not to visit any of our attractions or sites if you have symptoms or signs of illness such as fever, cough, breathlessness or breathing difficulties.
